Falling in Love with Jazz

Love makes you do the most ridiculous things. Like reading a book about psychopaths and sociopaths when you dread reading those types. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am in love with Jasper "Jazz" Dent (not really the music genre). Unlike most pf my books, I take "I Hunt Killers" by Barry Lyga in moderation as I have a tendency to become overly paranoid. That, my friends make me do the silliest of stuffs like refusing to turn off the lights at night, jumping at the most mundane noices, and watching my back like every three seconds just to acertain that nobody's going to jump out with a knife and tell me to say goodbye to... Well, you get the picture.

Therefore, I am someone who refuses to read/watch anything that triggers those.

So when a friend of mine told me to try out Barry Lyga's I Hunt Killer's, I was like . . . .

Then she said wonderful things about the book and I was finally tempted to try it out. Because if it's really worth it, I think having some hysterics isn't so bad :-)

So due to positive reviews from someone whose book opinion I trust, I tried it out.

And It did not disappoint. I started and couldn't stop. But stopped eventually because I got a little paranoid. It's quite descriptive, and you know when they talk about body parts I was actually clutching my own to make sure they're there and safe and still intact. Ok it's a bit more gory than my usual reads, but I really like reading about Jazz and how he analyzes the scene.

And as I go farther into the story I get to know Jazz better and I get attached to his character, and I like him better, and then suddenly I being bookwhore-ish again.

Well, I am not yet done with the book, but I am going to finish it, and hopefully write more about Jazz :-)
